every Fourth of July weekend

Wheeler County Fair
Wednesday-Sunday of the third week in August
A small county fair, authentic in all respects! Full rodeo on the Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Exhibits and vendors, but no carnival. Come and experience the real Old West!

Fossil Murder Mystery
third Saturday in September
Community-wide event with clues downtown, costumed characters, old-fashioned stew and biscuits dinner and Fossil Players mini-drama depicting "who dunnit." $2 entry fee and great prizes for solving the mystery! Annual Fossil Quilt Show, Museum rummage sale, library book sale and more events around town.

ABATE Motorcycle Run
every Memorial Day weekend
Several hundred motorcyclists come to Fossil; most camp just north of town. Fairground events.

Kinzua Reunion
Third weekend in June at the Fairgrounds
