The Lodge was built in 1927 by William Steiwer, son of W.W. Steiwer. According to family stories, the craftsman-style home was built by an architect and an identical house was built in Bend, OR. The interior is constructed of rough-cut Douglas fir that was hauled to Fossil from the bride's family sawmill in the Willamette Valley. The unique house has a stone fireplace built from ancient volcanic tuff found locally. Solid wood doors are constructed of two massive planks. Oregon statesman Jack Steiwer, son of William and Dorothy, lived at the residence his entire life. The centrally-located but secluded lodge was purchased in 2005 by the present owners of Bridge Creek Flora Inn.

Middle Room ($85/night) - faces 4th St., one queen size bed
Room of Last Resort ($55/night) - faces 4th St., one single bed; available with another room or if all other rooms are full
End of Hall ($85/night) - corner west room with windows facing 4th and Main Streets; queen and single beds
